Spotless = Aero
To be fast on your bike, your riding position is by far the biggest factor. Bicycle, wheels et cetera only account for about 15 percent of the air resistance. The rest is caused by your body. A whopping 85 percent. For an optimal riding position, you need to combine performance, aerodynamics, and comfort, i.e. Exactly what we at gebioMized do best. In triathlon, time trial, ultra-cycling or long bikepacking races on the gravel bike the cockpit is the key to fast riding. You just need to use it right. Riding on aero handlebars, you can easily save 30 percent of power compared to the hood position. Depending on your position and height, this may amount to 30 to 100 watts. If you don’t use them, aero handlebars add weight to your bike. And cost. That’s it.
Another argument for more comfort: we’ve measured in aero tests that better pads can significantly improve your aerodynamics. Why? Because the more comfortable and secure you feel, the lower and more relaxed you’ll ride on the handlebars. And this directly affects your shoulder and head position and reduces the frontal area. In other words: the same power output will generate a higher speed.
This is SPOTLESS AERO
Hard shell meets soft core: Spotless Aero is designed to be the ideal cockpit for everyone. That’s why the modular system of cup and padding is extremely adaptable and perfectly combinable to suit different athletes and riding positions. In bike fitting, Spotless Aero can be optimally adapted to YOUR needs and preconditions. Even for highly angled cockpits, the system offers an optimal pressure distribution over the entire forearm. This is proven by our gebioMized pressure measurements.

Science beats fashion trend: based on a multitude of forearm scans, our specially developed, biomechanically optimised cup with a high sidewall improves your shoulder stability in the aero position, makes it easier to control your body weight and allows for a reduced frontal area. Proving his strength, the cup absolved 200.000 testing cycles in the lab of EFBE. The adjusted 1° angle in the cup improves the contact surface of your forearm and effectively prevents pressure points on the rear edge. The padding allows for an even more individual adjustment.

Countless dynamic arm pad pressure measurements were used in the development process. After all the padding is a direct contact surface. The material was originally developed in-house for medical technology and is processed using a 3D printing process. It offers outstanding cushioning and, thanks to a printing process developed at gebioMized, a certain “bounce effect”, i.e., it quickly returns to its shape even under load. This way the full contact surface is always available and there are no pressure points. Two paddings are available for bike fitting: a flat one and one angled at 3° which make sure that every aero position can be optimally adjusted.
